2018 was the wettest year on record for the Maryland region, and unusually severe storms hit towns and projects alike. These extremes hit stream restoration contractors particularly hard, since work in streams is impacted for days after rain. Katrina Emery of Environmental Quality Resources, LLC and Scott McGill of Ecotone Inc. will share some of the experiences that contractors faced in the last year, including swift water rescues, site clean-up, and more site clean-up. Discussion will center around the challenges facing the industry when climates get wetter, and recommendations for how to make erosion control permitting and project sequencing more adaptive to potential weather changes.

8:00 to 9:00  Networking!

Enjoy free appetizers and cash bar with MSRA. Members are free. The cost for non-members is $15. Due to high interest in this topic you MUST register to attend.

Event updates will be forwarded to MSRA members and posted at the following website:  www.marylandstreamrestorationassociation.org

We hope to see you there!
