MSRA Spring 2022 Virtual Career Seminar

With the implementation of the Chesapeake Bay TMDL, the stream and ecological restoration industry is hard at work planning, assessing, designing, constructing and monitoring projects to restore our streams and watersheds. With this increase in work, the need for smart, trained and technically-able high school and college graduates has never been higher across the industry.

The MSRA Spring 2022 Virtual Career Seminar will consist of presentations from a diverse group of speakers from the Stream Restoration industry within the state of Maryland, and breakout sessions where employers with available stream restoration internships and entry-level positions describe their companies and meet with prospective applicants. The purpose of this event is to:

• Introduce high school, undergraduate and graduate students to the Stream Restoration industry.
• Make students aware of some of the Career Pathways that are available in the Stream Restoration industry.
• Discuss the skill set and knowledge base that hiring managers are looking for in prospective employees, and follow up with the opportunities that are available for students looking to develop their skills and knowledge base.
• Provide an opportunity for students to connect with potential employers within the Maryland Stream Restoration Industry that may have internship and entry-level positions available.

This event is free and open to non MSRA members, but register ASAP as space is limited! All registered attendees will receive emails containing a link to the virtual event prior to the seminar.
