About the project:
In July of 2020, the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) began construction on this ~2,000 LF stream restoration to reduce sediment and nutrient input to the Patapsco River. In addition, the project is to protect a downstream culvert below an MTA lightrail against impacts from a flashy urban stream. Completed in March of 2021, the project has improved water quality, stream stability, in-stream habitat and stabilized the upstream outfall.
